vera, rehab specialist/personal trainer

Hi, my name is Vera Vinogradova. I graduated with my Master's in Kinesiology with a specialization in Rehabilitative Orthopedics and Geriatric Exercise. For the last 9 years, I have been passionately helping people improve their quality of life by reestablishing correct biomechanics through mobility, strength and muscular balance training. I specialize in corrective and geriatric training, functional movement, posture/gait analysis, and pre-/postpartum. My goal with every single person is to help them achieve personal goals while teaching them how to be able to help themselves to the point of independence.

Lorenia, rehab specialist/personal trainer

Hi, my name is Lorenia, I’m a Rehab Specialist here at Burien Spine & Sport Rehab. I’ve been working in the Rehab field for the past 7 years with the same goal in mind: to get people moving better and restore patient function. I work with each patient to figure out the best plan of action in order to decrease the frequency, as well as intensity, of each individual’s symptoms and to then increase work capacity through rehabilitative exercise– all while educating patients thoroughly on correct movement patterns and posture with the use of verbal and tactile cueing.

Robin, LMP

Hi! I’m Robin, and I’m passionate about helping people move better and feel their best. I specialize in focused techniques, including deep tissue and injury-focused treatments, to release tension, improve mobility, and get you back to doing the things you love. While some techniques may involve a bit of discomfort, the results are always worth it—you’ll leave feeling a noticeable, positive difference. I take a personalized approach to every session, paying close attention to your body and your unique needs. I also work with clients to explore their symptoms and provide practical tools, like targeted stretches and exercises, so you can continue to improve and maintain your progress between sessions. Every massage is tailored to you, ensuring an individualized experience and the best possible outcome.

Travis, LMP

I go to work every day with a smile because my patients come in excited to care for their minds and bodies. I love knowing they carry that energy outside our sessions—making small adjustments that create big impacts on mindset, pain management, anxiety, performance, and sleep. I win when they win. My approach to massage is pragmatic and intuitive, focused on creating a safe, relaxing space for releasing anxiety, pain, tension, and trauma. I’m deeply interested in how stress-reduction and relaxation support healing and overall wellness. My work centers on guiding the body into deep relaxation so it can find balance. By truly listening to what your daily life demands of your body, I tailor each session to its specific needs. The result is an individualized experience that leaves you refreshed, rejuvenated, and restored.

Kana, LMP

Hi! I’m Kana, a Licensed Massage Practitioner (LMP) and a proud native of Japan. I graduated from the Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts in 2022, and since then, I’ve been passionate about helping my clients feel their best through massage and bodywork. Movement has always been a big part of my life—I’ve explored theater, dance, and yoga, and I love anything that keeps the body active and expressive. This perspective informs my approach to massage, helping me understand and support the body in motion. When I’m not working with clients, you’ll likely find me baking, cooking, or enjoying anything food-related—it’s one of my favorite ways to relax and be creative. I’m excited to help you move better, feel better, and leave each session feeling refreshed and cared for.

alison, LMP

Hi! I’m Alee, clinical massage therapist with a strong foundation from a clinical massage school and a passion that began early in life. Inspired by family and exposed to the healing power of massage at a young age. I bring both heartfelt empathy and unwavering determination to every session. Specializing in trigger point therapy—my favorite modality— I have been called “the Indiana Jones of muscles” and I can “feel the knots with the force”, (Star Wars fan here). I love exploring approaches to finding and relieving tension. For example, I find true value with implementing Thai massage, or cupping, or Graston into my sessions - exploring different tools and seeing what works best for you, because every body is different. I’m deeply committed to helping clients feel better, move better, and live with greater ease.

danielle, LMP

Hi, I’m Danielle I graduated from the Alexander School of Natural Therapeutics in 2023, and my focus as a massage therapist is to identify the true source of discomfort and follow its path to support effective, long-lasting relief. I specialize in Deep Tissue and Swedish Massage, and I’m also certified in Sports Massage and Cupping Therapy. These tools allow me to work with a wide range of clients, from athletes to those seeking stress reduction or recovery from chronic tension. Outside of work, I love being outdoors—hiking, camping, and exploring new places whenever I can. Tennis has been a lifelong passion for me, and I spent five years coaching at Highline College, which deepened my understanding of movement and injury prevention. I always encourage my clients to stay hydrated, stay active, and remember my favorite motto: “motion is lotion.”

emily, LMP

Emily is a Licensed Massage Therapist with a strong interest in the mind–body connection and evidence-informed care.  Emily graduated from the Massage Practitioner Program at Whatcom Community College in 2015 and has worked in sports, spa, and clinical settings. She blends Swedish, deep-tissue, myofascial (with occasional cupping and scraping), and other techniques to address stress, chronic tension, neck and shoulder pain, whiplash, low-back issues, and injury recovery. She is intraoral-certified and provides prenatal massage. Her root-cause approach tailors each session to a client’s goals and functional needs.

NEw Patients

Going to the chiropractor is a new experience for many of us. Maybe we've heard through a friend or have done some research online. It's possible that you are just fed up with living in pain and it's time to do something about it. In any case, your first visit to the chiropractor will really be about getting to know the chiropractor’s approach and discussing your history, current condition and treatment goals.

FIRST VISIT
Typically first visit appointments take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. During this time you and your doctor will sit down and discuss all the details about what is causing your injury, and decide if chiropractic care is the right solution for you.

WHAT WE DO DURING TREATMENT
During treatment we use multiple manual modalities to help decrease healing time, and decrease pain.

  • Chiropractic adjustments are used to restore joint function and decrease pain.

  • Active Release Technique (ART) is considered by many to be "the gold standard in soft tissue healthcare." ART is a hands on soft tissue modality in which the patient moves through a specific range of motion while the doctor provides tension along the desired soft tissue.

  • Graston Technique (GT) is a specific soft tissue treatment which falls into the category of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization(IASTM). GT uses a number of stainless steel tools to identify and treat various sites of soft tissue injury.

  • Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) utilizes specific exercises that emphasize the neurodevelopmental aspects of motor control to address dysfunction of the locomotor system.

  • Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) is a comprehensive joint training system based in scientific principals and research. The main training goals of FRC are: mobility development, joint strength, and body control.

  • Cold Laser Therapy is the use of laser energy to create therapeutic effects. These effects include: pain reduction, improved healing time, increased ciruculation, and decreased swelling.

  • Corrective Exercise is used to help our patients take control of their pain. We teach our patients various exercises and/or stretches to assist in the rehabilitation process. We believe that taking an active approach allows for improved recovery time and improved patient outcomes.

  • Patient Education is key in the rehabilitation process. Here at Burien Spine and Sport Rehab, we take the time to educate our patients so they understand why they are having pain and what can be done to reduce symptoms in both the short and long term.

  • Massage Therapy is used to promote healing and relax tight muscles. We have multiple massage therapists on our team, each providing a variety of massage techniques to best fit the patient's individual needs.
